The BJJ4Kids! Certification Program was created by James Smiley, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under World Champion Edson Diniz from American Top Team. The whole purpose of this program is to take the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, loved by adults worldwide, and formulate it into a step-by-step method of teaching children.

Because the main focus is on the adult aspect of the art, the kids are generally left behind to either fend for themselves or to be taught a watered down version of the adult program. This program, however, is designed specifically for kids.

We have acquired the help, wisdom, and counsel of professionals who specialize in teaching children and helping them to develop. This plus countless hours of research of our own has helped us formulate a plan. The plan is simple. Develop an exact system of teaching kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

After much effort, much patience, and much trial and error, we now have BJJ4Kids!
